SOLIDWORKS 2019 is officially supported on the following operating systems: What Operating System is recommended for SOLIDWORKS 2019? You can review performance of hardware using the SOLIDWORKS Performance Test and also compare benchmark stats of other users’ hardware. Minimizing in-context references, utilizing large assembly modes and other performance tools will reduce the load on the processor. Keep in mind that the fastest machine is no substitute for good design practices. Therefore having more processor cores can improve performance in these scenarios. Products like SOLIDWORKS Simulation and PhotoView 360 can take advantage of multi-threading, as can other areas like the user interface activities. Some functionality can leverage multi-thread technology and share the workload over multiple processor cores. Therefore rebuild performance can be increased by having a faster clock speed of the CPU. The rebuild process in SOLIDWORKS is inherently linear (parent/child relationship of features) and therefore can only use a single core. SOLIDWORKS runs on Intel or AMD based systems. What Processor (CPU) is recommended for SOLIDWORKS 2019? The minimum SOLIDWORKS 2019 hardware requirements can be found on the SOLIDWORKS System Requirements web page. Note: Our SOLIDWORKS 2020 Hardware recommendations are now available What are the minimum SOLIDWORKS 2019 hardware requirements?

Question #2: Is there a "sub-$100.00" 2D CAD program that I could purchase? I have very little need for CAD work, so I don't want spend a bunch of money on a CAD program. Question #1: How do I convert the files to DXF? How do I down load DXF? Neither of the two laser cutting vendors I use can get them to open, as they don't run SolidWorks. I removed SW from my computer, hoping they would open in DXF or PDF, no joy.

Well, short story long, I down loaded the EAA version of SolidWorks on to my computer, now the drawing are "latched" into edrawing, and I don't have a software package my computer that will export in DXF. About two years ago, I wanted to have some revisions done, so I sent them over to a "friend of a friend" who does CAD, he converted them to into SolidWorks drawings (not sure why). So, I have had my Q500 Fuselage CAD files that I use for laser cutting for five years.
